Do I need to run anything myself?

No. Lobster Shell hosts your AI agent on managed cloud infrastructure. No Docker, no servers, no port forwarding. You sign up, go through onboarding, and your bot is running.

What LLM does it use?

Pro plans include a bundled LLM (gpt-4o-mini) with 100K tokens/day. Business plans add GPT-4o and Claude. You can also bring your own API key on any paid plan for unlimited usage with your preferred model.

How does iMessage work?

We integrate with LoopMessage to give your bot a real iMessage presence. Add a phone number during setup, and anyone can text your bot like they'd text a friend. Replies are instant and conversational.

Is my data secure?

Your bot starts with read-only access to connected apps. It earns write access only when you enable it. Every action is logged, permissions are toggleable, and there's a one-tap kill switch to pause everything.

Can I use my own face and voice?

Yes. The onboarding lets you take a selfie to generate a custom avatar portrait and record a 30-second sample to clone your voice. Your bot can look and sound like you.

What if I already run OpenClaw?

You can connect a self-hosted OpenClaw instance instead of using our hosted infrastructure. Self-hosted support is coming soon — for now, hosted bots are the fastest way to get started.
